The LaLaurie Mansion is a historic New Orleans property notorious for its connection to the alleged crimes of its former owner, Madame Delphine LaLaurie, and is considered one of the city’s most haunted locations. While the mansion is now a private residence, its exterior can be viewed from the street. Its ownership has changed hands many times since its reconstruction, with the current owner being Michael Whalen, who purchased it in 2010.

The mansion is famously associated with Madame Delphine LaLaurie, who, in the 1830s, was accused of horrific abuse and torture of her enslaved people. The house’s gruesome history is the basis for many hauntings reported by visitors and residents. For nearly two centuries, the mansion has been a hotspot for paranormal activity, with many reports believed to be connected to the spirits of the enslaved victims.

Witnesses have reported seeing apparitions of enslaved people, some with chains, in the mansion’s upper windows and on its balconies. Visitors and ghost tour guides have described hearing phantom screams, disembodied moans, and the sound of rattling chains from within the house. People outside the home have reported experiencing strange sensations, such as unseen hands touching them or the smell of decaying flesh. The spirit of a young enslaved girl named Lia, who fell to her death from the roof while fleeing a whip-wielding LaLaurie, is also said to haunt the property. Legend claims the house carries a curse that brings bad luck and ruin to its owners. Actor Nicolas Cage, who owned the mansion from 2007 to 2009, lost it to foreclosure, fueling the belief in the curse.

This slime is a thick and plush butter slime scented in SDJs Bom Dia Bright Cheriosa 40. I don’t make a lot of actual butter slimes because I prefer slays and find most butter slimes to be too clay heavy. That having been said, I think this is my favorite butter I’ve ever made. It’s smooth and soft yet thick and plush without feeling too clay heavy. This thing inflates quickly and easily and is still snappy and poppy. The scent is sweet feminine perfume with notes of amber plum, jasmine blooms, vanilla woods Brazilian Orchid and warm musk!
